Step-by-step teaching procedure:
Step1: Warm up (10mins)
1.TA stand at the door of the classroom. Say hello/hi to each child as children come.
2.Help children sit in a circle.
3. Play the “Hello Song”. Encourage children to say Hello to you and to each other.
Physical activity “One, one, one show me one”

Step2: Review (5mins)
Play the song : “ Clap your hands”.
Play the song two times, encourage children to sing the song and do the gestures with you.
Step3: Teach the language (20mins)
Hold up the flash card 160,161. Say: “Look! These are mice”.
Point to the two mice in the box to the left of the plus sign on p.10. Ask: “ How many mice are there in the box?” (two)
Now point to the one mouse in the box to the right of the plus sign. Ask: “How many mice are there in the box? (one)
Now point to the three mice in the box after the equals sign. Ask: “How many mice are three in this box?”
To help children understand that the mice in the last box equal the number of mice in the first two boxes added together, point to and count the mice in the first two boxes One, two, three. Now point to and count the mice in the last box One, two, three.
Point to the box to the left of the plus sign, and say Two. Point to the plus sign, and say Plus. Point to the box to the right of the plus sign, and say One. point to the equals sign and say Equals. Point to the box after the equals sign, and say Three.
Repeat Two plus one equals three, pointing to the correct boxes and symbols as you say each word. One a time, invite each child to the front, and let the child point to the correct boxes and the plus and equals signs as the class repeats Two plus one equals three.
Play the Audio (plus, equals). Have children repeat each word two times
Play the game : “ Let’s count”
Show to the kids Picture Cards with flowers. One picture card- one flower. Stick the plus and equals signs on the board : [Number] plus [Number] equals [Number]
Show to the kids picture card with One flower and stick in the board before plus sign. Find Two flowers cards, stick it after plus sign. Stick Three flower’s cards after equals sign. Have children repeat Two plus one equals three.
Call the kids one by one, make them stick picture cards. Can use any of the following math problems:
Two plus one equals three.
One plus two equals three.
Three plus one equals four.
One plus three equals four.
Step4: Wrap up (2mins)
Play the Clean up song.
Let the kids help the Teacher to clean up.
Sing the Goodbye song.
